Services

Standard Midwifery Services

Paying for midwifery services can be as individual as the care you receive, but in general, you're paying for these services:

  • Prenatal Care
  • Labor & Birth Care
  • Postpartum Care
  • Newborn Care
  • Water birth
  • Specimen collection such as blood draws and Pap smears (lab costs not included)
  • On call availability for urgent questions, problems, and of course the birth!

Prices are estimates and subject to change. While we are open to billing your insurance, many of them don't cover home birth or licensed midwives. The typical base cost for all these services is $6000. There is a 30% early payment discount for funds deposited by your second prenatal. For example, if you were to prepay for the typical cost of $6,000 you'd get a discount of $1,800, bringing the cost to $4,200.

*There may be additional costs if the birth team requires extra members, there is significant travel involved in your care, etc. All will be discussed on a case by case basis.

Other Services/Additional Expenses

Not all services that may be necessary during care are provided by the midwife. Some of them may be covered by insurance, even if it doesn't cover home birth. These are all something we can discuss during care.

  • Ultrasounds
  • Lab work
  • Physician Consult
  • Bodywork (massage, chiropractic care, craniosacral therapy, etc)
  • Lactation Consultation, for nursing difficulties unresolved by the midwifery team
